ReelTake Films have recently completed filming the tow of the E.ON/Pelamis P2 Wave Energy Convertor from its base in Leith, near Edinburgh to the Orkneys. The Pelamis P2 is a semi-submerged articulated structure made up of cylindrical sections linked by hinged joints which generates electricity power from the wave induced motion. ReelTake Films have been filming the story of the P2 development for the last 18 months on behalf of E.ON. The P2 will soon be installed and tested at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney.
